Think, Young Man, THINK!

Once again, I have run across a WONDERFUL post over at the Calvinist Gadfly that Steve Camp graciously posted there. You can find it HERE, and I strongly recommend reading it, especially if you are 18 or younger (though we can all benefit from it).

All Glory For Jesus Always!

  • I read this article as well. Not only is it relevant to men of all ages, but women as well--though directed primarily towards young men.

  • Naomi:

Agreed completely. I suppose it struck me as especially important for young men because of the fact I teach a youth Sunday School that, at the moment, consists of only young men. :)

    Thanks for your comments!

  • No problem. As I reread my comment, I realized it could come off as sounding a little offended and "feminist," which, just so you know, wasn't my intention. I just think it's worth noting that women as well as men are often guilty of contempt for Christianity--very often in rebellion against the gender roles defined in Scripture (which ties in to young men associating Christian virtue with the feminine world).

And in the same way, women are often guilty of all sorts of spiritual thoughtlessness, just like men--though ours generally stemming, I believe, from what C.S. Lewis rightly identifies as an overwhelming desire to be needed by somebody. But I suppose that's open for debate (not that the desire exists, but that it's the driving force behind the majority of our errors). Anyway, I digress.

I certainly appreciate Mr Camp's motives for directing the article towards young men, in any case. It really is a fantastic article.
