Six-Day, Biblical, Creationism

That title alone will probably ruffle some feathers; I know this kind of a discussion has done so in conversations I have had before. :) Yet, I do believe that there is no other way to view the days in Genesis 1 and be faithful to the text. The rules of hermeneutics demand it.

Of course, I am aware of the disagreement on this matter, even among brothers and sisters in Christ, even to some degree in my own family and church. It was my intent when I started thinking about posting about this months ago to go through a detailed exegesis of relevant passages, including Genesis 1 and Exodus 20 -- but, as God would have it in His marvelous Providence, a few months ago I had the opportunity to preach a message on Genesis 1 in my church. Though you might need to look up a few terms (I wasn't as consistent as I should have been in defining little-used and not well understood terms), I deal with the relevant issues and come to the only consistent exegetical conclusion that you can.
